For January 11th I'm going back 37 years to 1984 and an FA Cup 3rd Round Replay between Spurs and Fulham (under the management of Supermac).
The original game at Craven Cottage, which I also went to, didn't linger long in the memory - it finished 0-0 but was notable for Ray Clemence (RIP) being substituted by Ian Crook due to injury back in the days when there was only one substitute available. By the time of the Replay Tony Parks had been installed between the sticks and Alan Brazil, never a favourite with Spurs supporters, was replaced by Steve Archibald. Spurs won the Replay 2-0 with goals from Roberts and the aforementioned Archibald in front of 32,898 at the Lane.
In my view, the Spurs programme covers from season 1983/4 are the worst ever - I think that any first year graphic design student could come up with a more attractive Spurs logo than the one shown here.
